Covid-19, computer failure, and just an all around bad time...

Ok so before everyone who reads this starts ripping into me on the fact I haven't touched this game or posted anything in a year or so on this... allow me to explain a bit before I get into the break down.

I ended up putting this game on an indefinite hiatus because I felt no one really cares about RPG maker games, and always shits on them, saying that they aren't really games, they are a joke, that anyone who is actively working on them doesn't know how to really make a game, they are all the same... basically just overall negative view on the subject as a whole. I took it pretty hard that I was trying to do something and make something that I could enjoy, my kids and wife could enjoy and maybe a few others could too, as well as spread alittle awareness about my wife's books. However after constantly sharing my game's progress and updates in a few discord channels and discussion areas of the interwebs and getting mostly negative feedback and comments on the fact my medium of choice was RPGmaker and not a software like Unity, unreal or even gamemaker, I just broke down and called it quits...

The whole fact I was already depressed thanks to lockdowns and all this covid crap really didn't help keep the passion alive after the huge blow I was suffering mentally about the views on rpgmaker games that I was receiving, couple that with the constant issues I was having with my computer and also personal job related matters made it hard to focus, find time and even care about continuing the project. I seriously lost track of how many times when my pc worked and I was going through files to delete or uninstall that my game came up and I almost hit delete... but now I'm willing to give it one more try to finish atleast a decent chunk for a playable demo and see what happens...

I've taken and redo some of the project into the newer version of RPGmaker (MZ), as well as kept the older (MV) files just incase I feel the need to return to the older engine instead, so I'm going to redoing the screenshots and clips I have previewing what everything in the game looks like right now in the next couple days I hope. I've also redone the overworld map, so alot is changing but I hope that people will find the changes better (those who have downloaded the game and played it before...the 25 of those who have I mean).

So not to take up anymore data or waste anymore time I suppose, I'll be back to burning the midnight oil and hopefully get another devlog out in a few days talking about what my plans and course of action will be.
